As we enhance our primary care and longevity-focused services, we are proud to offer a dedicated opportunity for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) seeking a meaningful, supervised clinical role within a collaborative and supportive environment.

This position is ideal for internationally trained physicians who bring strong foundational medical knowledge, adaptability, and a commitment to patient-centred care — and who are looking to apply their skills within Ontario's primary care system under the supervision and delegation of a Family Physician.

Why IMGs Thrive at EPICare

  • We actively welcome internationally trained physicians and deeply value the breadth of global clinical experience they bring.
  • Structured delegation and mentorship are provided in accordance with CPSO policy and the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • A supportive culture focused on growth, high-quality care, and strong teamwork.
  • Modern digital infrastructure including Avaros EMR, JaneApp, SRFax, VOIP systems, and integrated clinical tools.

Role Overview

Working under the supervision and delegation of a registered Family Physician, the Physician / Clinical Associate will participate in delivering comprehensive patient care according to established clinical guidelines and medical directives.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct focused histories, physical examinations, and follow-up assessments (in-person or virtual), with clear and accurate documentation.
  • Interpret clinical findings and diagnostics, and propose management plans for review with the supervising physician.
  • Provide chronic disease management support, preventive counselling, health education, and lifestyle guidance aligned with EPICare's longevity-informed care model.
  • Assist with routine primary care including women's health, pediatric visits, mental health assessments, and geriatric care.
  • Promote screenings, vaccinations, and population health initiatives.
  • Perform controlled acts that have been specifically delegated under approved medical directives, in accordance with the RHPA.
  • Maintain detailed charting within Avaros EMR and uphold all privacy and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • International Medical Graduate (IMG) or internationally trained physician with relevant clinical experience.
  • Strong proficiency in the English language (verbal and written) is mandatory.
  • Canadian clinical experience is a strong asset, though international experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in primary care, community medicine, internal medicine, or family practice (internationally or in Canada) is preferred.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, adaptability, and familiarity with patient-centred care approaches.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Eligibility to work in Ontario is required.
  • Note: CAPA certification is not applicable or required for IMGs in this role.

What We Offer

  • A respectful, inclusive workplace that values the expertise of internationally trained physicians.
  • Competitive compensation and optional extended health benefits.
