Property Accountant

Job Description

Job Overview:<br>Sheriff Corporation owns and manages a portfolio of Office, Industrial, and Commercial properties throughout the GTA.<br>The head office is located in Concord.<br><br>We are seeking a full-time accounting candidate with Property Management experience in the office, industrial, and commercial sectors.
<br>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare journal entries, process accounts payable, monitor accounts, and analyze operating expenses.</li><li>Prepare monthly financial reports.</li><li>Rent Collections.</li><li>Coordinate and evaluate all reports with the Property Manager on a monthly basis.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all procedures evaluate and prepare annual budgets, review expense ledgers, and assist in recovery reconciliations.</li><li>Monitor bills of tenants, ensure appropriate coding, and prepare and update general ledgers.</li><li>Supervise accounting information prepare all property-associated reports and assist in all property funds.</li><li>Analyze property-level balance sheets and cash flow statements, maintain the integrity of all data, and ensure efficient processing of all customer and vendor invoices.</li><li>Evaluate balance sheet accounts evaluate all property activities and provide support to all documents.</li></ul>
<br>Requirements:<ul><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.</li><li>Minimum 5 years accounting experience in Real Estate.</li><li>Strong communication, written, and computer skills.</li><li>The ability to work as part of a team.</li><li>Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.</li><li>Sound business knowledge.</li><li>Accuracy and detail oriented</li></ul>
