We are looking for a Proposal Specialist to join our National Services team!
What will you do?
- Contribute to our ongoing growth and sales activity by managing the bid production process to ensure all bids and proposals are polished and make an impact. This includes: technical writing, editing, coordinating, designing and producing bids in accordance with best practices, client expectations and Plan Group’s brand guidelines.
- Work in a high performance team collaborating with internal stakeholders and senior managers to manage and maintain the bid schedule, develop content and source material for submissions
- Proactively monitor bid opportunities through all portals to ensure continued growth of sales pipeline. Maintain up-to-date company registration and ongoing review of key word searches.
- Build and develop our internal proposal systems and processes (including bid collateral library, templates and references) to ensure our proposals convey value and competitive differentiation
- Contribute to the ongoing development of external marketing and branding of the Business Unit as required
- Other duties as needed, to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department / Service.
What do you require?
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a proposal specialist, writer or coordinator with background in one or more of the following sectors: Mechanical/Electrical Services, Construction, Facility Management
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbally and written). Able to distill complex ideas and concepts in a simple manner and present in multiple ways
- University degree in Engineering, English, Marketing, or Journalism, along with APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification or equivalent will be an asset
- Advanced level skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, Salesforce
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a natural team player able to operate effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment with many stakeholders
- Ability to work well under pressure, deal with multiple and overlapping projects and deadlines
