Quality Engineer

Ophardt Hygiene’s corporate mission is to Break the Chain of Infection by providing universal access to life-saving hygiene solutions.

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and will be responsible for driving quality improvements, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, and supporting the continuous improvement of processes. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 quality management standards and lead internal audits to maintain compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems for manufacturing processes, utilizing CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and vision system technologies.
  • Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and mitigate potential quality issues.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize product quality.
  • Monitor and analyze product defects, process deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Participate in supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Support the development and maintenance of documentation related to Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Assist in the training and development of quality assurance and production staff on quality control methodologies.

Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • 2-5years of experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and auditing practices.
  • Understanding and experience with CMM and vision systems for quality inspection.
  • Strong understanding of FMEA, RCA, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Project management experience and skill set is preferred
