About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, oral health education, and working collaboratively within a supportive dental environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient screenings and oral health assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical and dental histories.
- Take dental impressions and develop X-rays.
- Perform preventative dental procedures such as teeth cleaning, scaling, gum stimulation, and fluoride/sealant applications.
- Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and guidance on nutrition and lifestyle factors that impact oral health.
- Consult with dentists regarding patient care and treatment planning.
- Assist with restorative and orthodontic procedures under the direction of a dentist.
- Supervise dental assistants in their clinical duties as required.
- Participate in community or school-based oral health initiatives, including screenings and education programs.
Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in good standing with Calgary, Alberta.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
- Availability to work one weekend day per week.
