Rotation/Shifts

Days, nights, including weekends, 12‑hour shifts.

Basic Requirements

  • Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Three (3) months recent experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and/or in a Special Care Nursery;
  • Three (3) months recent ventilator experience;
  • Demonstrates a sound of the nursing process;
  • Demonstrates a desire and ability to participate in patient teaching;
  • Demonstrates a professional and respectful attitude to patients, to the public and to colleagues;
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively as an active member of the health care team;
  • Identifies a commitment to personal continuing education activities;
  • Demonstrates understanding of and participation in the evaluation process;
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the application and relevance of the nursing audit;
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    • A degree in nursing;
    • Neonatal High Risk course;
    • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
