<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT)</strong><br /><em>Full-Time | Victoria, BC</em></p><p>Evergreen Veterinary Dentistry Services is expanding and seeking <strong>2–3 highly motivated, experienced RVTs</strong> to join our referral-based dentistry and oral surgery practice. Our practice is led by a board-certified veterinary dentist (American Veterinary Dental College) and is the only board-certified veterinary dentistry clinic in the city of greater Victoria—serving a regional population of nearly one million people and attracting clients from the Yukon, Alaska, Washington State, and mainland BC.</p><p>With an associate doctor joining us in January 2026, we are building and training her support team now. This is a unique opportunity to join a specialized practice dedicated to advanced dentistry and oral surgery for companion animals.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Carry out all technical responsibilities of an RVT, including patient care, client communication, recordkeeping, and teamwork with veterinarians</p></li><li><p>Maintain a high standard of patient safety, comfort, and care throughout all procedures</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Provide skilled anesthesia monitoring and support for a wide range of patients, including higher-risk anesthesia cases</p></li><li><p>Operate and monitor ventilator-assisted anesthesia (training provided if needed)</p></li><li><p>Perform dental radiographs, prophylaxis</p></li><li><p>Support advanced dentistry and oral surgery procedures including:</p><ul><li><p>Periodontics and guided tissue regeneration</p></li><li><p>Complicated extractions and root canal therapy</p></li><li><p>Orthodontics, occlusion management, and crown therapy</p></li><li><p>Restorative and pediatric dentistry</p></li><li><p>Oral surgery (jaw fracture repair, tumor management, oronasal fistula repair, cleft palate repair, mandibulectomy, maxillectomy, etc.)</p></li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) in good standing</p></li><li><p>Minimum <strong>3 years of clinical experience</strong> as an RVT required</p></li><li><p>Strong <strong>anesthesia experience</strong> essential, particularly with high-need cases</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in veterinary dentistry, including dental radiographs and prophylaxis</p></li><li><p>Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills</p></li><li><p>Interest in advanced dentistry and oral surgery (training provided for specialty procedures)</p></li><li><p><strong>VTS (Anesthesia) candidates strongly encouraged to apply</strong></p></li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul><li><p>Full-time schedule: <strong>4-day work week (Tuesday–Friday), 9–11 hours/day</strong></p></li><li><p>Rare overtime; no weekends, holidays, or emergency call-ins</p></li><li><p>Provincial RVT dues covered</p></li><li><p>Continuing education allowance</p></li><li><p>Uniform allowance</p></li><li><p>Contribution to extended health benefits</p></li><li><p>Access to veterinary food and supplies at cost; veterinary services at a reduced rate</p></li><li><p>Supportive, specialized team environment focused on high-quality patient care</p></li></ul><p><strong>Join Us:</strong><br />If you are an experienced RVT with a passion for anesthesia and dentistry, and you’re looking to grow your career in a supportive specialty environment, we’d love to hear from you.</p><p> </p><p> </p></p>Company Description<p>Evergreen Veterinary Dentistry Services is a privately owned referral specialty clinic dedicated to providing exceptional high quality veterinary dentistry care and being committed to improving the oral health and overall wellbeing of companion animals.
