<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>The Opportunity:</strong><br><br>Do you love physical labour and working with your hands? We are currently looking for a sewer installer to join our team. In this role you will perform multiple tasks including residential sewer lateral excavations, sewer repairs & installations, and waterproofing & weeping tile work for customers homes.<br><br><strong>Job Type</strong>: Full Time<br><br><strong>Salary</strong>: $26 - 36 per hour<br />*Increased compensation available for candidates with mid-high level excavator experience.<br><br><strong>Key Job Responsibilities:</strong><br /><ul><li>Perform sewer repairs, pipe bursting, and install weeping tiles, pipe liners, and waterlines.</li><li>Use various excavation methods (Backhoe, bobcat, hand dig) to access repairs and installations.</li><li>Operate equipment and vehicles including trailers.</li><li>Maintain communication with management and dispatch, reporting on job progress, daily activities, and any equipment or material needs.</li><li>Practice safe working habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment; shoring of holes; and vehicle and machine safety.</li><li>Clean up work sites including, but not limited to cementing, removal of garbage and/or materials.</li><li>Demonstrate a high level of customer service, support, and care for the customers property.</li></ul><strong>What You Can Expect From Us:</strong><br /><ul><li>Competitive wages.</li><li>Health benefits.</li><li>RRSP plan with company match.</li><li>Company provided uniforms and work boot reimbursement.</li><li>Room for growth and development.</li><li>Training will be provided.</li></ul><strong>What We Need From You:</strong><br /><ul><li>Valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract required.</li><li>Experience operating a bobcat and/or backhoe for excavations in mid-high level complexity situations (tight spaces, against buildings) considered an asset.</li><li>Prior knowledge of sewer, waterlines, and weeping tile systems considered an asset.</li><li>Hard worker who is determined to find solutions.</li><li>Positive attitude.</li><li>Reliable team player.</li></ul><strong>About Us:</strong><br><br>Trusted for Over 100 Years!<br><br>Birnie Plumbing & Drains, a family-owned business since the 1920s, brings four generations of plumbing expertise to every job.
