Capital BBQ (BBQing.com) is a growing, family-owned retail superstore specializing in premium brands of BBQs, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, and quality outdoor living products and accessories. We are a 35 year old company, open year-round, one-stop destination for outdoor cooking enthusiasts, offering live product demonstrations, in-store events, and expert customer service.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Showroom Manager to join our dynamic leadership team.
Position Overview
The Retail Showroom Manager is passionate about customer service, leadership, merchandising, and outdoor living and loves to grill. Reporting to and working closely with the Customer Service & Retail (CSR) Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day showroom operations, driving sales performance, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
In partnership with the CSR Manager, you will:
Create and maintain a Customer-First environment for all guests
Direct and enforce all company policies, procedures, and standards
Lead, coach, and support staff through ongoing training and development
Execute strategic merchandising initiatives to drive sales and brand standards
Meet and exceed sales, margin, and customer satisfaction objectives
Maintain a strong working knowledge of all systems and procedures, including POS
Ensure all daily and weekly operational checklists are completed accurately and on time
Oversee showroom inventory stock levels for accessories and finished products; investigate and resolve discrepancies
Address and resolve customer concerns, employee issues, and operational challenges professionally and effectively
Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performance team culture
Qualifications & Requirements
35 years of retail management experience (required)
Strong passion for customer service and leadership
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
Strong work ethic and collaborative team mindset
Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset
Knowledge of the outdoor living or specialty retail industry is an asset
Open availability, including days, weekends, and Sundays
