<p><b>Company Description</b></p><p>At Mind Matrix, we offer UCMAS and OBotz programs (ucmas.ca & obotz.ca) at both our centre and at off-site community locations. We are expanding our offerings and are looking for part-time instructors who are looking for a rewarding supplementary role that allow you to do something different these positions would ideally suit individuals who are either at the beginning of their professional career or mature, established professionals. </p><p><br></p><p>UCMAS (Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System) is a unique child development program that focuses on mental arithmetic using the ancient Abacus tool. UCMAS has been operating in North America since 2004 and is a reputable brand known for its effective teaching methods.</p><p><br></p><p>OBotz is a multi-disciplinary robotics & coding program with a specially designed curriculum to teach young children about robotics. STEM learning is the building blocks of robotics, allowing kids to think scientifically & evolve technically. </p><p><br></p><p>Both programs encourages children to think logically and systematically. Through this, they learn to develop problem-solving skills and critical thinking through a practical hands-on approach. </p><p><br></p><p><b>Role Description</b></p><p>The positions are part-time and in-person roles for either or both Robotics (OBotz) and Math (Abacus) Instructors. Our classes run weekday evenings and on weekends - making this ideal for someone who has flexibility in their schedule and looking for supplemental income.</p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to lead primary level students using the set curriculum and lesson plans. The ideal candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a positive learning environment. </p><p><br></p><p>The programs build key cognitive benefits like concentration, observation, memory, imagination, creativity, judgment, application, reasoning, and self-confidence. You will have full support and training from colleagues and our dedicated head office team.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Duties</b></p><ul><li>Deliver instructional content through various teaching methods, including classroom based instruction and hands-on activities</li><li>Assess student performance and providing constructive feedback to support their growth</li><li>Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and share resources.</li><li>Manage parental expectations and provide feedback on student progress</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Previous teaching/instructional experience especially working with children</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues</li><li>Patience and ability to adapt teaching methods to individual students based on individual needs</li><li>Attention to detail and ability to creatively follow lesson plans</li><li>Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other instructors</li><li>For UCMAS, experience with Abacus and/or mental arithmetic is a plus</li></ul>
