An exciting opportunity has arisen as Sales Director for Imaging and Monitoring Sonars , reporting to the Vice President Sales, America Region. IMO is a significant and growing market for Kongsberg Discovery, driven by advancements in technology and increasing demand across various sectors, including maritime, defense, and research. POSITION SUMMARY:
As our Director of Sales – IMO, you will take center stage and drive the world-wide sales through a network of dealers and directly to end-users. You will work alongside a dedicated sales team and together you’ll be at the helm of maximizing our sales potential.
Our IMO Department in KD Canada Vancouver specializes in delivering advanced hydroacoustic products to meet strict customer requirements. Our range includes state-of-the-art sonars for many different applications like seabed and infrastructure inspection and monitoring, pipeline survey, dredge monitoring, cable laying and trenching, search and recovery survey, wreck inspection, monitoring of marine environment and fish habitat, and many other.
Additionally, several products from other departments, such as motion sensors and GNSS receivers will be part of the complete offering.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the global IMO Sonar sales department and develop sales and pricing strategies and ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Formulate annual budgets and strategies in line with our ambitious vision.
Actively engage in sales efforts, representing the company effectively, including product demonstrations, preparing quotations, and managing contract negotiations.
Build and maintain customer relationships for high satisfaction and collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve sales objectives.
Leverage external market representatives to expand our influence and participate in industry conferences and events to bolster our presence.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Highly customer focused.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant field.
Background within or experience with civil engineering operations.
Relevant application knowledge.
Understanding of the IMO market and relevant technologies.
Proven sales experience within the field.
Experience in leading and managing people effectively.
Fluent oral and written English skills.
Work Location: Preferred location is at the KD sites in Vancouver (Canada), Lynnwood (Washington state USA), Horten (Norway), or Spain.
