Responsible for completing all administrative tasks around loading truck trailers including answering phones, booking trucks, signing visitors in and out and operating the scale monitor and watching security cameras around the loadout area.
Key details of the position:
Administrative focus: heavy administrative workload requiring strong organizational skills
Multitasking and attention to detail: ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks accurately
Communication skills: clear and professional communication is essential
Microsoft Office proficiency: must have strong skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook
Shift requirement: must be available to work a shift from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday to Friday, except for Dec. 27 and 28 it would be 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Duties & Responsibilities
Review, understand and follow all SOPs related to the work area.
Responsible for accurately loading truck trailers to their legal road weight capacity.
Liaise with drivers, loader operators regarding load out, product and salt temperature.
Books trucks into the schedule.
Operate scale equipment in the load out area including but not limited to scale ticket monitor, printer, computer and cameras.
Ensures data entry and paperwork is completed accurately. Distributes paperwork as required.
Answering phones and responding to questions as required.
Complete samples as required.
Monitors visitor log and ensures visitors sign in and out.
Complete end of day inspections including ensuring hoppers, hopper pits and augers are empty.
Ensure yard, load out areas and facilities are kept clean and in good condition including roadways, washroom, kitchen, locker room, exits, lighting, etc.
Complete equipment checklists, inspections and Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA) as required.
Report any equipment issues or malfunctions to the Superintendent or Plant Manager.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings or investigations as required.
Complete safety and equipment training/retraining as required.
Use all required safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Other duties as assigned.
*This role is required to cover a short-term leave and would begin immediately, running until at least the beginning of January, with the possibility of extension.
