Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant is as follows:
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is a key member of the Finance team responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
Review and post accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliations
Review and post general Journals and accruals, prepaid expense allocations, straight-line rent calculations, capital cost amortization entries, AFDA adjustments, recovery adjustments, and intercompany reconciliations etc.
Review detailed A/R analysis each month to ensure accuracy and completeness. Closely monitor AR collection status. Escalate collection issues for AR past due over 15 days. Respond to tenant inquiries
Support the preparation of schedules for annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Review monthly in-depth B/S account analysis, quarterly F/S variance reports and recovery ratio analysis. Prepare analysis of P&L and Cash Flow variances TMGCT Job Requirements: Excellent communication skills – written, oral and presentation
Experience with drafting financial statements and Board reporting
Education: University degree and CPA designation
Knowledge of IFRS; knowledge of PSAB is an asset Strong analytical, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills to present financial insights to diverse stakeholders Apply
