<h2>Senior Design and Aerostructures Engineer </h2> <p>Location: Lindsay, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)<br> Employment Type: Full-time<br> Salary Range: C$165,000 – C$210,000</p> <h3>About the Role</h3> <p>A senior-level Design & Aerostructures Engineer is sought to lead mechanical and structural development for cutting-edge eVTOL aircraft.</p> <p>This role involves hands-on development of mechanical systems, structures, and components, from concept to certified production, with significant opportunities to grow expertise across adjacent disciplines.</p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li> <p>Architect, design, and implement platform-level mechanical systems from aircraft to component level</p> </li> <li> <p>Design structural and mechanical components for critical systems, including fuselage, propulsion mounts, landing gear, and system housings</p> </li> <li> <p>Select and specify materials (e.g., advanced composites, aluminum alloys, titanium, high-performance polymers) based on strength, weight, thermal, and durability requirements</p> </li> <li> <p>Support product development from concept through detailed design, prototyping, testing, and release to production</p> </li> <li> <p>Optimize structures for strength, stiffness, fatigue, and thermal performance</p> </li> <li> <p>Interface with suppliers to validate material choices, manufacturing methods, and fabrication constraints</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in failure investigations and root cause analyses to resolve mechanical or material issues</p> </li> <li> <p>Be an integral part of the team, projecting positive behaviours and influence onto the team</p> </li> <li> <p>Apply aerospace standards and specifications appropriate to the discipline</p> </li> <li> <p>Challenge the status quo, introducing new ideas to improve engineering quality, productivity, and delivery timelines</p> </li> <li> <p>Enforce standards and ensure rigor, resilience, and continuous improvement in design solutions</p> </li> <li> <p>Act as a project integrator and interface between project management and other engineering teams</p> </li> <li> <p>Stay current with industry developments and implement best practices in your work</p> </li> <li> <p>Drive continuous improvement of processes to increase safety and efficiency</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li> <p>5+ years of experience in aerospace structural systems, ideally with composite and stress disciplines</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with full lifecycle development, from concept to production and certification</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with eVTOL certification regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA)</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills</p> </li> <li> <p>Hands-on experience in mechanical and structural design, material selection, and component testing</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li> <p>Competitive salary based on experience</p> </li> <li> <p>No fixed holiday cap</p> </li> <li> <p>Group benefits plan</p> </li> <li> <p>Company share scheme</p> </li> <li> <p>Flexible working options</p> </li> <li> <p>Opportunity to work on groundbreaking aerospace projects in a collaborative, innovative environment</p> </li> </ul>Create Your Resume First
