Senior Logistics Specialist
Job Description
Looking for aElite Logix Inc, Third Party Logistics provider -based out of Burlington, Ontario is seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Specialist with a MINIMUM OF 2 years of verifiable experience, to work in our ever expanding Interstate division.
Overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of our company, the goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. This is a collaborative team environment, and we are all responsible for the overall customer and carrier experience and have responsibility for all duties listed below.
Daily Duties: Including but not Limited to:
- · Negotiate freight rates with carriers for TL and LTL
- · Source carriers
- · Respond to spot quotes and customer requests within expected timeline
- · After hours’ rotation to assist with resolving issues
- · Grow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationships
- · Understand and utilize RMIS, Carrier 411 , Trucker tool to its full potential
- · Perform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- · Collaborate with co-workers to provide solutions to customers
- · Organize and sort through email inbox to ensure all coworkers have visibility to the appropriate emails
- Effective communication skills a must
- · Improve on win % on a daily basis
- · Identify areas of weakness problem solve with team to correct
- · Knowledge of the following software like Load link, RMIS, UFOS, PC miler, Trucker Tool, and DAT
- · Present new ideas and implement them for Elite's maximum profitability.
Must have reliable transportation for work .Valid Drivers licence.
