<p>Location:<br>North York, ON - Hybrid role (2-3 days per week)</p><p>Contract Duration:<br>6 months with an option to extend the contract by 2 years in 1 year increments</p><p>Working Hours:<br>40 hours per week</p><p>Job Title:<br>Senior Process & Procedures Writer</p><p>Summary of Scope of Work</p><p>Seeking one (1) Senior Process & Procedures Writer, high end technical writer (10 or 15+ years) with Construction Project management procedure development experience.</p><p>Key Job Functions</p><p>Reporting to the Coordinator – Analysis & Procedures, Senior Process & Procedures Writer is responsible to:</p><ul><li>Translate project management, project controls, engineering and construction management processes and services, into detailed procedures or instructions with easy to follow steps.</li><li>Facilitate interviews with subject matter experts (SME) and write user-friendly procedures based on SME's knowledge and requirements.</li><li>Develop and review draft procedures for completeness, comprehensibility and accuracy through continuous coordination with subject matter experts.</li><li>Create, and maintain word or excel form templates that meet the needs of target audience, adheres to organizational and legal standards allowing easy input and incorporates process steps in a sequential order.</li></ul><p>Qualification and Experience Requirements</p><p>Professional Experience:</p><ul><li>Minimum 10 years of practical experience as an effective procedure writer, in project management, project controls, engineering and/or construction management environments.</li><li>Proficiency in procedure writing and building procedures based on process mapping including flowcharts.</li><li>Specialized knowledge in Project and Construction Management industry processes, with the capability to translate those processes into written procedures.</li><li>Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.</li><li>High degree of attention to detail.</li><li>Proficient in the understanding of complex interdepartmental processes.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple procedural developments simultaneously within defined timelines and per specific directives.</li><li>Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (e.g. Construction Project Management, Process Management, Engineering)</li></ul><p>Additional Requirements (optional):</p><ul><li>Certification or courses completed in Project Management disciplines are an asset (Project management fundamentals/Project management principles/Project Cost Management/Project resources: Planning and scheduling, Risk management, Contract management)</li><li>Familiar with public sector transportation agencies.</li></ul><p>Work Environment:</p><ul><li>Project management, project controls, engineering and construction management environment.</li></ul><p>Project Details:</p><ul><li>ECE manages a large portfolio of projects.
