Nobody checks every box - we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.</p><p></p><p><strong>About the role:</strong></p><p>On the DevX team at Kong, you will design, develop, and maintain microservices and APIs that power the Konnect Dev Portal. The Konnect Dev Portal is the primary way our customers’ users discover, experiment, and integrate with their APIs hosted on the Konnect platform. Working closely with Engineering and Product teams, you will develop API-focused software components that will materially impact the business of both Kong and Kong’s customers.</p><p></p>What you&#39;ll do:<ul><li><p>Implement and maintain microservices and APIs that power the Konnect Dev Portal. Examples include Developer Portal configuration, API catalogs, Markdown and OAS documentation solutions, API authentication configuration, metering, and subscription services.</p></li><li><p>Design and implement solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity.</p></li><li><p>Support those services in production by participating in an on-call rotation.</p></li><li><p>Write automated tests to ensure the behavior of code and avoid regressions.</p></li><li><p>And any additional tasks required by your manager.</p></li></ul>What you&#39;ll bring:<ul><li><p>5+ years working in a team to develop, deliver, and maintain complex software solutions.</p></li><li><p>Experience with Typescript, Javascript, and modern NodeJS frameworks like NestJS.</p></li><li><p>Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.</p></li><li><p>Experience developing and supporting SaaS platforms.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of and development with git and GitHub workflows.</p></li><li><p>Experience in test-driven development and automated testing.</p></li><li><p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p></li></ul>Bonus points:<ul><li><p>Experience with Golnag, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, CDC, and Flink.</p></li><li><p>Fullstack capable</p></li><li><p>A passion for APIs, OAS, and Documentation.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>#LI-SV1</p><p></p><p><strong>About Kong:</strong></p><p>Kong Inc., a leading developer of cloud API technologies, is on a mission to enable companies around the world to become “API-first” and securely accelerate AI adoption.
