Position Overview
LSP Canada is seeking a Senior Tax Associate for our London Windsor or Niagara Falls offices. In this role, you will work closely with our tax professionals to provide high-quality tax compliance and planning services to individuals, families, and businesses across Ontario.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Canadian tax preparation, CRA compliance, and client-facing operations, especially during peak tax season.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file personal (T1), corporate (T2), and trust tax returns.
- Assist with GST/HST and other indirect tax compliance.
- Conduct tax research and apply Canadian tax legislation to client cases.
- Support tax planning and strategy recommendations to optimize client tax positions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of client filings.
- Communicate with clients to collect documentation, answer questions, and provide guidance.
- Mentor junior staff and support team workflows as needed.
- Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and internal quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of Canadian tax experience (public accounting, tax advisory, or corporate).
- CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred.
- Strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and CRA compliance.
- Proficiency with Canadian tax software (ProFile, Profile, Taxprep, or similar).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines during peak tax season.
Additional Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Availability during peak Canadian tax season (February–April).
- Ability to work on-site in London, Windsor or Niagara Falls, Ontario.
