Senior Tax Manager
Direct Hire role at Permasearch, a TPI Company.
Base pay range
CA$135,000.00/yr - CA$140,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Supporting tax partners through the identification of tax planning opportunities and strategies in the firm’s varied client base.
- Preparation of step planning memorandums and technical reports for clients and partners alike.
- Assisting with the mentoring of other team members with respect to tax.
- Assisting with performing the review of personal and corporate tax returns and tax projects.
Qualifications
- CPA in-depth tax course or Master of Taxation degree would be an asset.
- Ideally a minimum of four years experience with at least two years specializing in tax.
- Extensive knowledge of personal, corporate, partnership and trust tax legislation and compliance requirements.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Knowledge of TaxPrep is required.
- Previous experience in corporate reorganizations, estate planning and various filings of tax elections (Section 85, CDA, etc.) is desirable.
