Senior UX/UI Product Designer – Mobile



Lead mobile-first UX design initiatives in the insurance sector with a high-impact hybrid role based in Canada. Design intuitive iOS and Android apps, influence strategy, and drive user-centered solutions. Enjoy a flexible schedule with remote Mondays and Fridays. What is in it for you:




• Salaried: $55-58 per hour.


• Incorporated Business Rate: $66-69 per hour.


• 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.


• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.


• Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.


• In-office presence required from Tuesday to Thursday.


• Remote work available on Mondays and Fridays.



Responsibilities:




• Design intuitive and responsive mobile applications, including native iOS and Android interfaces.


• Lead user research and exploration to inform product roadmaps and optimize mobile-first user experiences.


• Apply and evolve a common mobile design system to maintain consistency across products and platforms.


• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional partners to integrate design strategies into business goals.


• Deliver detailed design artifacts such as wireframes, journey maps, and interaction flows, with a focus on mobile usability.


• Conduct user testing and synthesize findings to refine digital experiences.


• Stay current with mobile UX trends, design tools, and emerging technologies.



What you will need to succeed:




• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or a related field.


• 6 years of professional product design experience in cross-functional teams.


• Demonstrated expertise in mobile design for iOS and Android platforms.


• Deep understanding of end-to-end product design processes including user flows, prototyping, and validation.


• Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.


• Strong knowledge of UX principles, mobile usability standards, and platform-specific guidelines.


• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to present ideas effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.


• Portfolio required, showcasing design process, outcomes, and craftsmanship.
