**Ready to Start Fresh?**
Regional Transportation Manager is responsible for all aspects of Ontario trucking operations, drivers, equipment, inbound oversight and outbound dispatch to customers. Adherence to applicable provincial and federal regulatory standards is strictly enforced. Actively contributes to a positive and productive working environment.
**You will be working out of our facilities in Vaughan 40% of the time and Whitby 60% of the time. This is not a Hybrid role.**
**Hereu2019s where youu2019ll have an impact:**
u00b7 Oversee daily outbound transport operations and help manage the operating budget.
u00b7 Oversee the management team and support them with training, direction, and performance management.
u00b7 Oversee equipment fleet management to execute local transportation out of the retail service centre.
u00b7 Manage operational relationships with third-party carriers (respecting deadlines, financial performance), if necessary.
u00b7 Initiate, support and participate in transport optimization projects.
u00b7 Conduct transport analysis, delivery frequency analysis, and planning and activities for major events that affect our supply chain (new clients, acquisitions, new equipment, new systems).
u00b7 Collaborate with regional transport teams on transport forecasts and budget management to provide variance analysis and explain variances between budgets and planning.
u00b7 Support capital budgeting for equipment needs in areas under their responsibility.
u00b7 Fully support the corporate food safety vision. Collaborate with the transport team and Food Safety, managing and directing activities to ensure compliance with all OHS and food safety requirements, both internally and externally.
u00b7 Determines the Manpower requirements and staff appropriately reacting to any situation affecting planning (Holidays, unplanned events, etc.) in a regional setting
u00b7 Strong financial acumen working with the team(s) to deliver the operating and capital budget.
u00b7 Monitors and report daily & periodic KPIu2019s, adjust process or execution based on data analysis.
u00b7 Monitor 3rd party carrier and vendor performance.
u00b7 Period end financial responsibility, processing accruals and period variance explanation.
u00b7 Respond to and ensure customer issues and discrepancies related to deliveries are handled in a professional and timely manner.
u00b7 Schedules equipment maintenance within Provincial Legislated requirements and ensure the safe operation of all Transport vehicles.
u00b7 Cross-dock transportation management where needed
u00b7 Final mile transport including corporate, franchise and wholesale.
u00b7 Drive innovation and change management with a focus on store execution, cost control and safety.
u00b7 Recruits, trains, develops, motivates and coaches truck drivers, and provides regular feedback, including administering corrective actions as required where required.
u00b7 Communicates any relevant information to the employees.
u00b7 Coach, counsel and discipline as required.
u00b7 Demonstrates outstanding leadership, with a clear vision and consistent sense of direction and serves as a role model for employees.
u00b7 Ensures that systems and tools are being used as instructed.
u00b7 Oversee Review of all Delivery Sheets and Trip Books to ensure compliance with Dept. of Transportation guidelines.
u00b7 Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements.
u00b7 Frequent travel between RSCu2019s in Ontario is required

u00b7 Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
u00b7 Good communication skills (both oral and written)

u00b7 Demonstrated ability to conduct independent fleet analyses
u00b7 Financial acumen

u00b7 Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
u00b7 Strong understanding of the National Safety Code
u00b7 Understanding and working knowledge of Ontario Transport Regulations and CVORs
u00b7 Working knowledge of TMS, JDA, EXE, SAP, Samsara
**Educational and Working Experience Required**
u00b7 University education combined with a minimum of five (5) yearsu2019 experience in the field of transport management, including experience as a manager, preferably in the food or retail industry.
u00b7 Knowledge of various transportation industry IT tools.
u00b7 Energetic, inspiring and visionary leadership.
u00b7 Great sense of innovation and interpersonal skills.
u00b7 Enjoys teamwork and is highly adept at effective communication.
