  • Prepare and maintain the Basis of Schedule document, capturing key assumptions, constraints, methodologies, and resource plans.
  • Facilitate Interactive Planning Sessions (IPS) with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and third parties to develop, validate, and optimize schedule logic and interdependencies.
  • Apply resource loading techniques to create optimal crew and staffing plans, working closely with project managers and construction leads to ensure alignment with project requirements.

  • Ensure all schedule activities are consistent with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and fully integrated into the overall project controls framework.
  • Provide accurate and timely schedule updates and variance analyses for internal and client-facing reports, supporting effective decision-making and stakeholder communication.
  • Mentor and support junior planners and schedulers, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant company policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks, while leveraging best practices and lessons learned to enhance planning and project controls capabilities.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and controls, with a strong emphasis on mining and metals projects in an EPCM environment.
  • Proven expertise in scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and MS Project, and experience integrating scheduling with cost control systems (e.g., EcoSys or equivalent).
  • Primavera P6 certification or equivalent credentials are considered an asset.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve scheduling challenges proactively.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and mentor junior team members.
