Driven by curiosity, they are committed to continuous learning and staying up to date with new tools and technologies.</p><p><br /></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Assess technological requirements and business processes in forestry operations for optimization and innovation</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to design planning models enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and profitability</li><li>Translate business requirements into solution specifications, including functional and technical aspects</li><li>Work with product & development teams, sales, and clients to implement solutions within timelines and budgets</li><li>Provide ongoing support, user training, and troubleshooting during and after implementation</li><li>Review and evaluate solutions to identify improvements and recommend enhancements</li><li>Participate in enhanced support services projects</li><li>Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in forestry management</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Language: Strong English oral and written communication skills</li><li>Software: Programming or scripting for data processing and analysis (e.g., Python, R, VBA, or similar); experience manipulating large datasets (e.g., SQL/database programming); ability to visualize data, prepare reports, dashboards</li><li>Years of Experience: 25 years</li><li>Education: B.Sc. in Forestry, Operations <span >Research/Analytics,</span> natural resources-related science, or 2+ years in forest operational experience</li><li>Other: Ability to work in a team environment; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and data accuracy</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Assets:</p><ul><li>Experience with GIS software (ArcGIS Online/ArcGIS Pro, QGIS)</li><li>Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)</li><li>Familiarity with industry standard forest planning tools, especially Woodstock Optimization System</li><li>Strong consulting skills (active listening, understanding client challenges)</li><li><span >Training/experience</span> in operations research techniques (linear programming, simulation, heuristics)</li><li>Experience working on lengthy, multi-person, multi-vendor contracts</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Location:<br />We are committed to finding the best candidate and are flexible regarding location.
