Our client in Chilliwack is looking to add an experienced and energetic Painter tojoin their Paint Department in Chilliwack.

The client designs, and manufactures the world's most secure weather tight marine closures or engineering support structures for bridges.

The Spray Painter is responsible for preparing paint materials, blending, cleaning & preparing various surfaces; spraying application while also maintaining the spray guns.

You will:

  • Prep aluminum, gelcoat, epoxy primers for topcoat and primer application
  • Spray application with a HVLP gravity gun
  • Clean and maintain spray guns and other tools, work area, and materials
  • Maintain inventory of all paint materials
  • Sanding and finishing epoxy and polyester filler

You have:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in spray application with primer and topcoat
  • Bodywork and equipment maintenance experience required
  • Marine experience preferred
  • Fiberglass and carbon fiber experience is considered an asset
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of epoxy primers, topcoat, paint materials and paint preparation
  • Ability to do powder coat is considered an asset
  • Good interpersonal skills such as verbal/written communication and listening
  • Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
  • Overtime as required.
