Our member is looking to hire a Stair Assembler for their company in Newmarket, ON.

We are seeking an individual with experience in stair assembly/manufacturing (or similar fields such as cabinet assembly) to fill a full-time in shop position at our stair and railing company in Newmarket, family-owned and operated for 37 years. We manufacture and install custom stair and railing systems for some of the most prestigious builders and designers across the GTA and surrounding areas.

Specific Duties & Schedule:

  • Manufacturing of various wood stair components including treads, risers, stringers, etc.
  • Assembly of components into complete stair systems.
  • Maintaining a safe/clean work area.
  • Weekly day shift with overtime available.
  • 8 to 10 hour work days.
  • Flexible start times between 5:00 am to 7:00 am.

Requirements:
  • Highschool Education +
  • Stair manufacturing (or similar) experience is a must
  • Ability to read work orders and cut lists
  • Personal small hand tools (i.e., chisel, hammer, tape measure)
  • Drivers licence
