The position:
We are actively seeking a highly motivated Surveyor join our growing team. This is an on-site position working out of our office located in Edmonton, AB.
Responsibilities:
- Perform topographic, construction, and boundary surveys for civil engineering projects.
- Prepare survey layouts, including roads, utilities, grading, and building sites.
- Conduct fieldwork using GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments.
- Collect, process, and analyze survey data to support design and construction activities.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and timely survey information.
- Maintain detailed field notes, sketches, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to provide field support during construction phases.
- Assist in preparing plans, maps, and survey drawings using AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
What you Bring:
- Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Alberta Land Surveyor (ALS) designation or eligibility for certification in Alberta.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in land or construction surveying.
- Proficiency in GPS, total stations, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of boundary laws, mapping, and topographical survey techniques.
- Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a larger project team.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to various job sites in the province.
