<p><b>One of our clients, a major oil and gas company has tasked us with finding a skilled Systems Technician to join their team at Norman Wells.</b> This is a site-based role focused primarily on maintenance work within facilities. The position operates on a <b>14 days on / 14 days off rotation with Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) from Edmonton, AB</b>, and <b>camp accommodations are provided</b>.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Job Purpose</b></p><p>The Systems Technician is responsible for maintaining the Process Control & PI systems, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting short- and long-term strategy development for controls equipment. This role requires proficiency in multiple technical areas and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Maintain and administer Industrial Control Systems (ICSR) and ensure compliance.</li><li>Steward Alarm Management Meetings and resolve follow-up items.</li><li>Participate in daily safety meetings and uphold safety as the top priority.</li><li>Support EMIT initiatives (hardware troubleshooting, cyber security, training laptop setup).</li><li>Manage site radio system hardware and licenses; liaise with contract radio specialists.</li><li>Attend monthly IT meetings and implement Management of Change (MOC) processes.</li><li>Update drawings (redlines) and close out SAP work orders.</li><li>Assist planning group with job scoping and maintain spare parts inventory.</li><li>Provide remote backup coverage for Cold Lake Systems during weekends or vacations.</li><li>Support other trades (Instrumentation, Electrical) as qualified and workload allows.</li><li>Communicate effectively with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and contractors.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and productivity.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Strong knowledge of process control systems and industrial networking.</li><li>Familiarity with business practices, controls requirements, and contractor supervision.</li><li>Experience with SAP and KPI stewardship.</li><li>Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.</li><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Previous experience in oil and gas or industrial maintenance environments preferred.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you are interested, apply!</p>Create Your Resume First
