Youll play a key role in keeping water and sewer crews productive by delivering and relocating critical materials throughout the workday.<br><br></p><p>In this role you will be responsible for the following:</p><ul><li>Aggregate/Clay Hauling Safely operate a tandem axel truck with pup to haul gravel, rock, clay, and sand to and from job sites, including removing excess material to clear space and keep congested areas work-ready.</li></ul><ul><li>Pre-Trip Inspections Perform daily vehicle inspections, report defects promptly, and maintain accurate logs.</li></ul><ul><li>Load Security Ensure all loads are properly balanced and secured using appropriate chains, binders, or tarps.</li></ul><ul><li>Field Coordination Communicate with foreman and dispatch to confirm delivery locations, address issues, and adjust to site changes.</li></ul><ul><li>Site Safety Operate vehicles safely around active job sites, while following OH&S and Alberta Transportation regulations and company policies.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Valid Class 1 or 3 Drivers License with Air Brake Endorsement and a clean driving record.</li></ul><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience hauling aggregate/clay.</li></ul><ul><li>Working knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance procedures.</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with Alberta Transportation and OH&S regulations for commercial driving.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers.</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li></ul><p></p><p>Working Conditions & Physical Requirements</p><ul><li>Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and handling chains, binders, or tarps.</li></ul><ul><li>Expect frequent entry and exit from the cab, requiring good mobility and balance.</li></ul><ul><li>Work is performed on uneven terrain with moving equipment and open excavations; safety awareness is critical.</li></ul><p></p><p>What it takes to Succeed</p><ul><li>Willing to learn, promote, and implement GS Construction&#39;s culture, core values, and "GS Way" processes.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to manage tasks, operate effectively, and remain focused in high-pressure, fast-changing environments.</li></ul><ul><li>Enjoys problem-solving and thinking "outside the box" to develop innovative solutions for complex tasks.</li></ul><ul><li>Openness to learning from others and collaborating on new ideas and approaches to improve efficiency and teamwork.</li></ul><ul><li>Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with crew members and leadership.</li></ul><p></p><p>Note: We appreciate every application we receive, but we can only contact the candidates who are selected to move forward in the hiring process.<br><br></p><p><span >#ConstructYourFutureWithGS</span></p></p></p>
