<p>Company<br>ClaimsPro LP</p><p>Technical Claims Specialist, Property - Remote or Hybrid (Markham, ON)</p><p>We are currently looking to add an experienced Technical Claims Specialist - Property to our team to work in a REMOTE or HYBRID environment.<br>Role Responsibilities<br>The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and adjusting personal and commercial property claims, as well as associated third-party liability claims. They will deliver high-quality service in accordance with ClaimsPro and client standards, ensuring timely and fair claim settlements within corporate policy guidelines. Specifically, the Technical Claims Specialist will be expected to:</p><ul><li>Investigate, negotiate and settle claims</li><li>Direct field investigations as required for exposure and within account guidelines parameters.</li><li>Make initial contact as per account guidelines.</li><li>Report to client as per account guidelines.</li><li>Identify liability exposures, recommend reserves, recommend investigation required for exposure, prepare action plans, and negotiate settlements</li><li>Provide high level of customer service to clients and the insured.</li></ul><p>Drawing On Their Experience And Expertise In Adjusting Claims And Understanding Handling Processes, The Successful Candidate Also Supports Adjusting Peers Through</p><ul><li>Providing guidance and direction to adjusting peers on claims handling strategies and issue resolution.</li><li>Supervising back up and support as required (providing support to the team, approve reserves and payments.)</li><li>Assisting with the training and development of staff on accounts specific processes.</li><li>Assisting with the resolution of claims issues / escalations.</li><li>Providing secondary resource and contact for clients.</li></ul><p>Qualifications And Experience</p><ul><li>University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance is nice to have.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years' experience.</li><li>CIP designation or working towards designation.</li><li>Adjuster's license or have completed a minimum of the below 4 CIP courses:</li><li>C11: Principles and Practice of Insurance</li><li>C12: Insurance on Property</li><li>C13: Insurance Against Liability—Part 1</li><li>C14: Automobile Insurance—Part 1</li><li>C110: Essentials of Loss Adjusting (Nice to have)</li><li>Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.</li><li>Ongoing commitment to education and learning.</li><li>Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics</li><li>Good investigative manner</li><li>Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.</li><li>Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.</li></ul><p>Why join ClaimsPro?<br>We are proud of our people and it shows:</p><ul><li>You will be part of a team of over 700 independent adjusters from 9 other provinces, 2 territories;</li><li>Your career can grow into other lines of claims, branch management, across Canada into other branches, or new roles - the sky is the limit;</li><li>You will work on the industry-leading iAdjust software, designed by an adjuster for adjusters and kept modern with our in-house team of programmers and developers;</li><li>You will be supported by experienced local claims support, centralized after hours support, and dictation services;</li><li>Your claims load is driven by senior executives and business development staff from coast to coast;</li><li>You are compensated for your billable hours and other costs.
