Trust Child Care Centre is a family owned child care centre in Toronto that provides care to children aged 6 weeks through 6 years. We are a 5 minute walk from the Summerhill subway station. Trust is seeking applicants interested in supply teaching. Candidates must have a warm, nurturing, and inclusive approach in their programming and behaviour management of children in our childcare program. Trust is a teaching centre and having a positive collaborative attitude is most important when joining our Trust Team! Applicants must have an up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Immunizations - MMR, TDAP, TB test within the past 6 months, First Aid/CPR-C to be considered for employment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of childcare in group care, verbal and written communication skills, and a positive customer service attitude.
Requirements for Supply teachers include:
Trust supply teachers are required to email their daily availability for the following week toinfo@trustchildcare.ca byWednesdayof the week before. It is not acceptable to send this to any other email. Supply teachers may edit their availability up until Wednesday night of the week before.- Alterations communicated after Wednesday will be disregarded.
Availability must be between 7:00am and 6:00pm for each day listed as available.
Supply teachers must be available a minimum of 2 weekdays per week, and at least one of those days must be a Monday or a Friday.
Supply teachers will know by 7:30 am the day of, if they are scheduled to work on a day they have marked as available. Scheduled shifts will be a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 9 hours in length. Shifts assigned in the morning will provide time
The wage is 17.00 an hour with an additional 2.00 an hour through the Provincial Wage Enhancement Program which is approved annually) to a total of 19.60 an hour
Supply teachers are not guaranteed hours but do have the ability to pick up shifts on our app (you can download for free on your own phone) called Paycor, as well as be assigned shifts based on given availability by the front office team or when a new schedule is published.
