Utility Billing Clerk - 6-12 Month Contract

Job Description

<p>Duties:</p><ul><li>Update, correct, and input large volumes of billing data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Review, validate, and perform QA checks on conversion data received from Utility company</li><li>Support end-to-end billing verification and ensure test results match expected outputs.</li><li>Perform billing scenario testing to confirm system functionality and regulatory compliance.</li><li>Work closely with the outsourced contact centre team to confirm accuracy of customer account information and testing outcomes.</li><li>Communicate with internal stakeholders and the Test Lead regarding test progress, issues, and dependencies.</li><li>Create or update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to new processes, billing workflows, and testing activities.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of testing steps, results, updates, and data corrections.</li><li>Execute assigned test scripts and work through 10 defined case scenarios directly tied to billing operations and project requirements.</li><li>Identify, validate, and document issues, defects, and discrepancies encountered during UAT.</li><li>Log and track issues in the project defect-tracking system with clear notes and evidence.</li><li>Report findings to the Test Lead and participate in defect review discussions.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Requirements: </p><p>1) 2 years of utility billing experience</p><p>2) Municipality experience is a strong asset</p><p>3) UAT exp is an asset</p><p><br></p><p>Location: Downtown Hamilton, 3 days a week in office, may be 5 days a week in office for some of UAT, have to work 2 weekends for UAT in March.</p>
