**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Technician to perform rebuild, retrofit tasks, and general assembly duties under the supervision of a qualified Technician. You will assist in preparing vehicles for interior and exterior painting, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
**Responsibilities**
Perform rebuild and retrofit tasks and general assembly duties.
Clean vehicles and parts as directed by trained Technicians.
Assist Technicians in other functional areas as required.
Prepare vehicles for painting by scuffing surfaces, employing masking techniques, and removing rust.
Understand and apply company safety policies and relevant Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Report any accidents, incidents, near misses, and injuries.
Follow company medical and first aid procedures.
Use safe work procedures.
**Essential Skills**
Mechanic skills including repair, retrofit, blueprint reading, assembly, and vehicle testing.
Ability to perform mechanical and electrical automotive repair, specifically for trucks.
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in the operation and maintenance of armored or similar vehicles.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks.
Ability to travel within Canada for 1-3 weeks (10-15% travel).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Proficient communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
Experience working with teams and/or customers.
Ability to meet anthropometrical size restrictions for confined spaces.
Truck, coach, automotive interprovincial certification or equivalent.
Qualified Military Fire Control Systems Technician, Military Electro-Optical Repair Technician, or Heavy Equipment Technician.

**Work Environment**
Work in a dynamic setting with shifts available from Monday to Friday, either from 6am to 2:30pm or 2:30pm to 11pm. The role may require standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, and reaching at various heights. Tasks may involve working in confined spaces, and employees may need to climb on/off vehicles using roof hatches and other openings.

This is a Contract position based out of London, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $38.00/hr.
