<h3>Role Overview</h3>
<p>The Vice President / Senior Vice President, Canada is responsible for driving Canadian revenue growth by developing and executing a Canada‑specific go‑to‑market strategy in Steer’s current and emerging business lines, and building and developing the Canadian team to ensure the right talent, capabilities, and leadership are in place.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Drive Canadian revenue growth by developing and executing a Canada‑specific go‑to‑market strategy.</li>
<li>Build and develop the Canadian consulting team, ensuring the right talent, capabilities, and leadership are in place.</li>
<li>Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key public and private sector decision‑makers across Canada.</li>
<li>Anticipate and respond to Canadian market trends, regulatory changes, and funding opportunities.</li>
<li>Lead the preparation and delivery of winning proposals and presentations tailored to Canadian clients.</li>
<li>Negotiate and secure high‑value contracts, ensuring alignment with Steer’s commercial objectives.</li>
<li>Oversee project delivery to align with client expectations and mentor project managers to successful and profitable outcomes.</li>
<li>Recruit, mentor, and develop high‑performing staff across service areas, with a focus on leadership succession and specialized expertise.</li>
<li>Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performance culture within the Canadian offices.</li>
<li>Represent Steer at Canadian industry conferences, government roundtables, and other public forums.</li>
<li>Promote Steer’s brand through professional networks and speaking opportunities.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s preferred).</li>
<li>15+ years in transportation consulting, with significant leadership responsibility for business development and team growth in Canada.</li>
<li>Proven track record of securing large‑scale consulting assignments in Canadian markets.</li>
<li>Experience advising clients on transportation strategy, policy, and planning issues.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Skills & Attributes</h3>
<ul>
<li>Strong Canadian transportation market network.</li>
<li>Proven leadership in building and scaling teams.</li>
<li>Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.</li>
<li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of Canadian transportation policy, funding, and delivery models.</li>
<li>Willingness to travel within Canada and to the US.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Benefits</h3>
<p>In Canada, we offer a competitive package of benefits including private medical, dental, and vision insurance; a group Share Incentive Plan; a 3% RRSP contribution; and a discretionary annual bonus (dependent upon individual and company performance). We also offer up to 47 paid days off – 22 vacation days, 13 public holidays, 2 volunteering days, and 10 sick days – as well as a bi‑annual performance review process.</p>
