Rooted in Winnipeg’s vibrant tech community, UnionWare combines local talent and global reach to empower organized labor with streamlined, data-driven tools.</p><p></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We’re looking for a <strong>Business Systems Analyst</strong> to lead client-facing software projects from discovery through delivery. This role blends technical expertise with project leadership, requiring someone who can translate complex client needs into actionable software requirements while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.</p><p>You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to scope, design, and implement tailored software solutions that drive operational success. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving real-world problems with technology, we’d love to hear from you.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Lead small to large-scale client projects, from planning through execution </li><li>Identify, assess, and document client business requirements </li><li>Define clear scopes of work and translate them into detailed technical documentation </li><li>Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Developers to design and validate solutions </li><li>Review completed work to ensure alignment with client expectations </li><li>Present solutions to stakeholders and support training plans for new clients </li><li>Coordinate with Project Managers on timelines, scope, and status updates </li><li>Partner with Data Migration Analysts to ensure successful data transitions </li><li>Participating in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning and Retrospectives </li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis standards </li><li>Travel periodically across North America, Australia, and the UK </li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar client-facing technical role. </li><li>Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. </li><li>Proven experience in:</li><ul><li><strong>Professional Services delivery</strong>, including client engagement and solution implementation. </li><li><strong>Project Management</strong>, with a strong grasp of timelines, scoping, and cross-functional coordination. </li><li><strong>Systems Analysis</strong>, including requirement gathering, process mapping, and solution design. </li><li><strong>Systems Management</strong>, with an understanding of software lifecycle, deployment, and performance monitoring. </li></ul><li>Strong planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills. </li><li>Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies. </li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Skills & Attributes</strong></p><ul><li>Strong technical background with the ability to conceptualize and design software solutions </li><li>Excellent communication and client engagement skills </li><li>Analytical mindset with a natural curiosity and desire to understand “why” </li><li>Ability to quickly become a domain expert in new environments </li><li>Strong decision-making, prioritization, and time management skills </li><li>High attention to detail and commitment to quality </li><li>Self-management, adaptability, creativity, and initiative </li><li>Experience with AI tools for transcription, task management, and requirement generation is an asset</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Ready to make an impact?</strong> Apply now and help us shape the future of client-driven software solutions.</p><p></p><p>#ValsoftG1</p></p></p>
