The Opportunity

As an Electrical Design Technologist, you will contribute to multi‑sector projects that power homes, hospitals, schools, transportation systems, and more. Your work will directly support safe, sustainable, resilient buildings for generations to come.
Your Impact
Design electrical systems for a wide range of building types across Eastern Canada, including residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, and transportation facilities.
Develop detailed electrical designs, calculations, models, and drawings using industry‑standard CAD/BIM software.
Support the development of lighting, power distribution (normal and backup), life‑safety, communications, data, and security systems.
Collaborate with engineers, technologists, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction to ensure high‑quality, code‑compliant solutions.
Conduct construction administration activities, including site reviews and respond to contractor inquiries.
Apply the National Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, and relevant standards across all project stages.
Support delivery of design submissions in fast‑paced, multidisciplinary project environments.
The Skills That Set You Apart
Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or Certificate, with eligibility for NBSCETT registration.
5-10 years of experience in designing electrical building systems within consulting environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; experience with AGI or ETAP is an asset.
Strong understanding of building construction and electrical system integration.
Organized, detail‑oriented, and solutions‑driven with a "can do" approach.
Ability to obtain PSPC Reliability Status; RCMP clearance is considered an asset.
Clear, effective interpersonal and technical communication skills with clients, contractors, and project partners.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 – $102,500
MB & ON: $77,400 – $102,500
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $70,600 – $97,200
