Field Service Technician II CAN

3 Months -Contract to Hire

Work Location: Ottawa Ontario CAN K1G 4K1

Description:

This position requires a candidate who is bilingual in English & French.

This position requires eligibility for a Top Secret level government security investigation.

As a Field Technician II, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining laptop, desktop and printer support for end users and clients. A valid passport and drivers' license and vehicle are required. This role reports into the Field Services Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals

• Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems

• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.

• Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed

• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

• Performs a variety of complicated tasks

• Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

Basic tasks:

• Deskside software support

• High end printer and multi-function laser component level repair

• Server component level hardware repair and software restore

• Network device replacement/ configuration

• Basic network troubleshooting

• Smart Hands

Qualifications:

• Requires experience in the field or in a related area; familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures

• Able to perform call-management in a Real-Time-Reporting environment

• Able to work independently & with limited supervision

• Excellent verbal & written skills

• Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
