Working on a project with the Department of National Defence, the IT Security Design Specialist will be responsible for planning and implementing IT security integration architectures.
Required capabilities include:
- At least ten years of experience supporting a minimum of 30,000 workstations across multiple geographies
- A minimum of ten years of experience in planning and implementing IT security integration architectures
- A minimum of ten years of experience implementing at least two of the following: Security Engineering Validation Testing; Cyber Range; Identity Credential and Access Management; Public Key Infrastructure; Network Security Monitoring and Response; Information Exchange Gateway; Network Security and Gateways; Cross Domain Solution – Access; Cross Domain Solution – Transfer; Host Security; Virtualization Security; IT Security Risk Assessment; IT Architecture; Security Information and Event Management (SIEM); or Cloud security.
- A minimum of five years of experience working in the development of at least three (3) of the following types of System Engineering documentation: System Design Specifications; Build / Configuration documents; Concept of Operations (ConOps); System Implementation Plan; Test Plans / Test Reports; or Life Cycle Support Plans.
- At least three years of experience configuring, integrating and troubleshooting Firewalls.
- At least five years of experience configuring and integrating networking equipment.
- Experience configuring, integrating and provisioning Cisco technologies, including Routers, and/or Nexus and Catalyst Series Switches.
- Experience configuring, integrating and troubleshooting Palo Alto VM-series firewalls.
- Experience working with VMWare
- Experience working with McAfee Web Gateway.
- Experience working with Imperva Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and/or Database Activity Monitoring (DAM)
- Experience working with application-aware traffic generators
- Experience working for a Federal or provincial government client is considered an asset
- Must have or qualify for a secret-level security clearance with PSPC.
