Gardon Construction is seeking an experienced Light Commercial Site Supervisor to lead small-to-medium commercial projects while supporting our transition into advanced construction methods, including additive construction and 3D concrete printing.


This role is hands‑on, client‑facing, and requires strong leadership, coordination, and accountability across multiple active sites.


Key Responsibilities



  • Supervise and coordinate light commercial construction projects (typically $500K–$5M).

  • Lead site teams and subcontractors, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety.

  • Manage daily site operations including trade sequencing, short‑interval planning, and look‑ahead schedules.

  • Act as the primary on‑site contact for clients, consultants, inspectors, and stakeholders.

  • Oversee inspections and quality control to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and company standards.

  • Maintain a safe, compliant job site in accordance with all safety regulations.

  • Track site progress, support change management, and maintain awareness of schedule and cost impacts.

  • Utilize digital field tools for reporting, documentation, and coordination.


Qualifications



  • Proven supervisory experience in light commercial construction, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Strong leadership, trade coordination, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients and consultants.

  • Solid understanding of construction safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience with inspections, deficiency management, and quality assurance.

  • Working knowledge of project cost awareness, change orders, and time‑and‑material tracking.

  • Comfort using digital construction tools (Procore or similar platforms, mobile reporting, digital drawings).

  • Interest in emerging construction methods, including additive construction and 3D concrete printing, with the ability to adapt to new workflows, materials, and site practices.

  • Post‑secondary education in construction management or a related field or equivalent field experience.

  • Relevant certifications (safety training, supervisor certifications) are an asset.
