<p>Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is seeking a reliable Maintenance Person to support the engineering team on a part‑time basis. This role focuses on routine and preventive maintenance of building systems, ensuring guest and colleague safety and satisfaction.</p>

<h3>Job Description</h3>
<p>As a Maintenance Person, you will promptly carry out maintenance work to the highest standards. You will follow all statutory and legal regulatory requirements during repairs and report to the Engineering Manager.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.</li>
<li>Conduct general repairs including plumbing (leaks, toilets, faucets, drains), electrical & data (light fixtures, switches, outlets), and refrigeration (FCU’s & AHU’s, filter replacement, servicing and kitchen equipment).</li>
<li>Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, addressing issues efficiently.</li>
<li> Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements.</li>
<li>Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs or safety hazards.</li>
<li> Monitor the building automation system to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment inventory and work orders.</li>
<li>Assist with preventive maintenance programs to prolong equipment life and minimize downtime.</li>
<li>Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs as needed.</li>
<li>Assists with seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal and landscaping.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to guest services.</li>
<li>Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Basic knowledge of carpentry, drywall, patching, caulking, and painting (preferred).</li>
<li>Working knowledge of HVAC, AHU systems, and chiller operations.</li>
<li>Minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry knowledge (asset).</li>
<li>Working knowledge of computerized Building Maintenance Systems (asset).</li>
<li>Hotel experience (asset).</li>
<li>Power Engineering certificate (asset).</li>
<li>Available to work weekends & holidays.</li>
<li>Strong problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.</li>
<li>Willingness to learn, self‑motivated, and comfortable in a technically demanding setting.</li>
