<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Join to apply for the <b>Manager, Finance, Canada Controller Group</b> role at <b>Canada Life</b>.</p><p>Permanent Full Time. Location flexible to head office locations: Toronto, London or Winnipeg.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Oversight over the Canadian internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR) program</li><li>Research and analysis on accounting treatments in accordance with current and emerging IFRS</li><li>Manage relevant quarterly financial reporting and close processes</li><li>Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes and controls</li><li>Participate in ad hoc financial projects, as required</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>CPA designation with a strong technical working knowledge of IFRS</li><li>5+ years of relevant finance experience</li><li>Highly motivated and proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Effective communication and strong relationship building skills</li><li>Well-developed organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to identify opportunities and execute plans of action to create efficiencies</li></ul><p>The base salary for this position is between <b>$84,900</b> – <b>$155,700</b> annually. This represents base salary only and does not include other variable compensation components of total rewards (e.g., annual bonus, commission).
