<h3>On-Call Psychiatry at Lakeridge Health Oshawa</h3><p>This is a great opportunity to gain on-call experience at Lakeridge Health, a community hospital based in Oshawa, that serves the region of Durham. Residents will be working closely with the on-call psychiatrist who will be providing on-site supervision. While on-call, residents and the on-call psychiatrist will be completing consults to the emergency department, providing consult-liaison coverage, and supporting clinical issues that arise for admitted psychiatric patients (Oshawa has 40 inpatient psychiatry beds).</p><p><b>Supervision:</b><br/>The on-call psychiatrist remains the MRP for the duration of the shift and will provide on-site supervision.</p><p><b>Minimum Requirements:</b><br/>Residents must meet minimum requirements as set both by the restricted registration program of Ontario and by their residency training program. Residents MUST have successfully completed mandatory rotations in PGY1 Year (including 2 months of Internal Medicine, 1 month ER, and 1 month ER-Psychiatry), Adult General Psychiatry - Inpt. & Outpt., including full on-call duties (12 months); Geriatric Psychiatry must be completed by the time that restricted registration work has begun. In addition, completion of their child psychiatry rotation.</p><p><b>Remuneration:</b><br/>$1200 per shift. Two shifts are available per weekend: 1) Saturday 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, 2) Sunday 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.
