Job Summary:

The Production Manager – Fabrication will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of the metal fabrication process. This includes managing production schedules, leading a team of fabricators and welders, ensuring quality control, maintaining a safe work environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the fabrication department, including welding, cutting, forming, and assembly
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer deadlines and quality standards
  • Supervise, train, and support a team of welders, machine operators, and fabricators
  • Monitor workflow, materials, and equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and output
  • Implement quality control standards and perform inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Identify and resolve production issues, delays, and material shortages
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and sales teams to align production with customer needs
  • Promote and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures
  • Track production KPIs and prepare performance reports for upper management
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process enhancement

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes including welding, CNC cutting, bending, and assembly
  • Proven experience in managing production teams and schedules in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
