We are a full service settlement agency with multiple departments that offer a wide range of programs and services. Using a client-centered approach, we offer targeted case management. We do needs assessments, support with official documents and paperwork, information and orientation sessions, crisis counselling, housing assistance, translation, language classes, and help navigating public services and agencies such as healthcare, the CRA, Service Ontario, and many others. In addition we offer programs that help newcomers become socially and economically connected, whether through sports, recreation, cultural activities, or job search and networking support. CCI also offers these services in a youth specific context. Finally, CCI Ottawa operates 4 Transitional Housing Sites. Each site provides shelter, food, and wrap around services to support clients as they move into permanent accommodations.</p><p><br /></p><p>POSITION SUMMARY</p><p>The Recruiter will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the recruitment cycle, from job postings to onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate experience and supporting our mission to build a diverse and inclusive workforce under the supervision of the Workplace Relations & Talent lead.</p><p><br /></p><p>This position reports to: Director of Human Resources<br />Employment status:Contract March 31, 2026<br />Hourly rate:$30.09<br />Deadline date to apply: 5PM, December 15, 2025</p><p>Open <span >to:Internal/External</span> candidates</p><p>Location: 219 Argyle Avenue</p><p><br /></p><p>MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>Under the supervision of the Workplace Relations & Talent lead, the Recruiter will:</p><ul><li>Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for staff, interns, and co-op placements</li><li>Draft and post job descriptions on internal and external job boards</li><li>Screen resumes and coordinate interviews with the Program Manager</li><li>Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive experience</li><li>Assist with onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, orientation and reference checks.</li><li>Maintain and update the Human Resources Information System and recruitment files</li><li>Provide Turnover reports and conduct Exit Interviews</li><li>Partner with community organizations, colleges, and job fairs to build talent pipelines</li><li>Support initiatives to attract diverse candidates and promote inclusive hiring practices</li><li>Prepare recruitment reports and analytics for leadership</li><li>Responsible for administering employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and ongoing support</li><li>Review timesheets for payroll processing</li><li>Ensure all hiring practices comply with organizational policies and employment legislation</li><li>Provide general HR support as needed</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Certificate, diploma, or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years experience in recruitment, preferably in a non-profit setting.</li><li>Familiarity with an applicant tracking system (ATS) and human resources information system (HRIS). Familiarity with BambooHR is an asset.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation, including Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act, etc.</li><li>High level of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism.</li><li>Demonstrates sound judgment and decision making.</li><li>Strong teamwork approach.</li><li>Fluency in English isrequired.
