We are currently seeking an experiencedSkilled Labourerwith a strong work ethic, the desire to be part of a team, and the skills to assist in the construction of residential and commercial properties in the Saskatoon region.</p><p><br /></p><p>As a member of our team, you will provide insight and innovative solutions to ensure the successful construction of our commercial and residential properties.</p><p><br /></p><p>Summary</p><p>Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Skilled Labourer selected will be responsible for the quality control of all homes constructed in a the community, ensuring the compliance with local building code and company safety policy. The Apprentice Carpenter / Skilled Labourer is also responsible for general site maintenance and clean-up as needed.</p><p><br /></p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Work in labour and apprentice carpentry scopes of work for residential and commercial construction.</li><li>Assist in tasks such as housekeeping, quality management and safety of all buildings constructed in a project<br /></li><li>Perform touch ups and repairs on sub-trade deficiencies</li><li>Carpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subcontractors</li><li>Proficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gun<br /></li><li>Support the Arbutus team as needed for the project lifecyle</li><li>Other tasks as required by the site foreman</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>2+ years of construction labour and/or carpentry experience</li><li>Experience in residential construction is an asset<br /></li><li>Good verbal communication skills<br /></li><li>Understanding of how to use small tools and power tools<br /></li><li>Highly organized, results-oriented and able to work in a multi-functional team environment</li><li>Great work ethic and willingness to be a team player</li><li>Appearance must be neat, clean and professional</li><li>Must have own vehicle and valid drivers license</li></ul></p></p>
