<p><b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b></p><p>Insight Global is seeking a Cad Layout Designer to join the hardware development team at a top telecommunications company.</p><p> </p><p><b>REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</b></p><p>- Electronics College Diploma or equivalent.</p><p>- 5+ years of recent experience in Design documentation tools environment, Hardware design delivery process tools and knowledge</p><p>- Expertise with Cadence Allegro and Valor tools essential</p><p>- Manual routing and controlled auto-routing</p><p>- Forward / backward schematic annotation</p><p>- Understanding of the PCB design process and required deliverables</p><p>- Strong knowledge and experience with high-speed routing methodologies, single ended & differential controlled impedance design,</p><p>- power/ground planes, terminations, Via technologies, board materials and stack-ups, safety isolation requirements, EMC/EMI considerations, manufacturability constraints, and manufacturing test requirements</p><p>- Knowledge of the PCB manufacturing and assembly process an asset</p><p>- Familiarity with high-speed hardware design and photonic interfaces a plus</p><p>- The candidate must to be focused, perseverant, a good communicator and an effective team player given the interdisciplinary environment.</p><p>- Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple assignments simultaneously</p><p>- Participate in process change and improvement forums</p><p>- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills</p><p>- Values customers and relationships and aims to exceed customer expectations</p><p> </p><p><b>COMPENSATION</b></p><p>$40-$60 an hour + full benefits package</p><p>Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.</p><p>Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D.
